Description
This cord is twisted and two-toned: the strands wind around each other, so both shades of Pink/White appear along the surface in turn. It looks livelier than a plain single-colour cord. It is 8 mm thick and made from 100 % polyester, so it is strong and will not shrink. Sold by the metre from 0,2 metres. Use it as a hood or trouser cord, as a bag handle, as a curtain tieback, or simply for decoration. Because polyester does not shed fibres, the surface stays clean even after longer use.

Frequently asked questions
Does the cord unravel when cut?
A twisted cord opens up at a raw end. Wrap the end with thread, slide a cord end over it, or hold it briefly near a flame, and the twist stays closed.
Will it fit through common eyelets?
At 8 mm the cord needs a correspondingly large eyelet. Check the inner diameter given for your eyelets; if it is smaller, threading becomes awkward and the cord will chafe.
Can I wash it?
Polyester takes washing. Wash the cord together with the garment it sits in where possible, so both fade evenly and the colours keep matching each other over time.
Does the cord stretch in use?
Polyester barely stretches. The cord lengthens only slightly under load and springs back again. That makes it suitable for hoods and bag handles, where a stretchy cord would soon go slack.
