Description
The clip connects the dummy chain to clothing: the metal clamp grips the bodysuit, jacket or bib, while the wooden part with the cat motif sits visibly on top. At 45 mm wide and 50 mm long it is compact and easy to handle.
For the chain, pull a narrow woven ribbon, grosgrain or cord through the slot and sew it securely. At the other end a loop or a dummy ring holds the dummy. With leftovers from the sewing box, personal gifts for a birth or christening come together quickly.

How do I attach the ribbon to the clip?
Pull the ribbon through the slot on the clip, fold it over and secure it with a strong seam, ideally a box with a cross. For bead chains, place the knot so that it cannot slip through the opening.
Which ribbon suits it?
A narrow, firm woven ribbon, grosgrain or a cord that is easy to sew or knot. The ribbon must pass comfortably through the slot without twisting or chafing inside it.
How long may a dummy chain be?
Short enough that it cannot wrap around the neck. Use the chain only under supervision, never in bed, and check it regularly for loose parts and tears. Replace damaged chains straight away.
How do I clean the clip?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry well. Wood does not tolerate long soaking or the dishwasher, while metal stays nice when stored dry.
