Description
Its surface closes up again after each cut, which is why it lasts a long time. The size comes to 60 cm × 45 cm. Sold as a single item. Produced from plastic.
For alterations, shortening and taking old pieces apart, cutting tools belong within reach of the sewing table. Cutting on a base is cleaner: a mat takes the blade and spares the table at the same time. After cutting, the tool goes back closed or secured, so that nobody reaches into it. These notions fit any sewing drawer and come to hand quickly.
What Prym Omnigrid cutting mat 60 x 45 cm / 23x 17 Inch in Hot Pink is suitable for

Frequently asked questions
How do I keep the edge sharp?
Use it for one material only and store it dry. Cutting paper or tape with it shows after just a few metres of fabric and calls for resharpening.
When should a blade be changed?
As soon as it leaves threads standing or asks for more pressure than before. A blunt blade drags at the fabric instead of parting it, and the cut edge shows it.
How do I make it safe?
Store it closed or locked and out of reach of children. On a rotary cutter the guard goes back after every cut, not at the end of the day.
How do I look after it?
Wipe dry, never rinse, and keep the joint moving with a drop of fine oil now and then. Moisture is the only real enemy of a cutting edge.
