Description
This small fitting turns a hole in the fabric into a passage that lasts for years. Supplied as 50 pieces. The finish is Black.
The work takes two steps: punch the hole, then press the two parts together. Once an eyelet sits firmly, it no longer turns. For belts, bag handles and labels they are the small piece of hardware that makes a homemade item look finished. Punch the hole tightly: too large a hole lets the eyelet wander, a snug one holds it in place. Prym has made sewing notions in Stolberg for generations.

Which size matches which cord?
The inner diameter decides: the cord should glide through easily but not rattle. When in doubt, measure the cord and pick the next size up.
Can an eyelet be removed again?
Hardly ever cleanly, because its rim is folded over. So test on a scrap before starting on the good piece. At worst, cut the piece of fabric out and set a patch beneath.
How many does a drawstring bag need?
A simple bag with a drawstring needs only a few at the corners. A full-height lacing is counted in pairs, kept at even intervals.
How far from the edge do they go?
Enough fabric must remain so nothing tears out: roughly one eyelet width from the edge, and on soft cloth rather more than less. With several eyelets a drawn line keeps the row straight.
