Description
Pale pink runs so soft that on children's jackets your fastening barely shows — it subordinates itself to your cloth rather than interrupting it.
This tape is 20 mm wide, sold by the metre from 0.2 metres. Hook side and loop side come together, so you only order one length. It washes up to 40 degrees, presses at a low setting; bleach or a tumble dryer it will not take. Sew both halves down close to all four edges, or that hook side works loose over time. Close the fastening before washing, so those hooks pull no lint off your other laundry.

How do I sew hook-and-loop tape?
All the way round, close to the edge, with a universal needle and straight stitch. Put that hook side on whichever part sits away from your body, so it scratches neither skin nor cloth.
Can it go in a washing machine?
Yes, up to 40 degrees, pressing at a low setting. Close your fastening before washing, or those hooks collect lint from your drum. Care symbols rule out bleach or a tumble dryer.
How long should my piece be?
Measure whatever run has to hold, then allow a little extra at both ends. Sold from 0.2 metres, so you can match that length quite closely to your project.
Does it lose grip over time?
Once lint settles into your loop side, that fastening holds less well. Comb it out with an old toothbrush or a needle, then your tape grips as it did at first.
