Fused on, it turns soft goods into fabric that keeps its shape. It measures 90 cm. Produced from 100 % R-PES.
An interfacing gives the fabric body where it would be too soft on its own: at collars, facings, plackets and pocket flaps. A test on a scrap shows whether temperature and dwell time suit, and how the fabric drapes afterwards. Cut the interfacing just inside the seam line so the seam does not bulk needlessly. The pack states the size, so buying more later stays easy. Anyone sewing regularly likes to keep such notions in duplicate.

Frequently asked questions
How do I fuse it correctly?
Press in one place, do not glide, and keep to the time the pack names. Too short and it fails to bond, too long and the layer turns hard and the fabric board-like.
Does it survive washing?
Yes, provided it was fused properly. If it lifts after the first wash, the temperature was usually too low or the time too short. Washing a scrap alongside shows before the project what the bond withstands.
How do I cut it?
Just inside the seam line, so the seam does not bulk. On curves it helps to keep the interfacing slightly narrower than the fabric piece.
Can it be removed again?
With heat, freshly fused pieces sometimes lift. After washing that hardly succeeds without damaging the main fabric. A scrap shows beforehand how the bond behaves in your own fabric.
