Description
Mint runs so pale it almost reads pastel. Beside natural white and pale grey it makes a very calm arrangement.
Material is 100 % polyester, width measures 6 mm, sold from 0.2 metres. Satin means long yarn floats across the show side, hence that sheen. This ribbon barely creases, settling flat again soon after unrolling. Care symbols exclude washing, ironing, bleach and tumble dryer. Because satin slips, add a drop of fabric glue inside a bow's knot. On paper, double-sided tape holds better than liquid glue, which soaks through narrow ribbon and leaves dark marks.
What Satin Ribbon 6 mm Mint is suitable for
- Small bows, because 6 mm ties tightly.
- Wrapping small things, because this ribbon never dominates.
- Name tags, because this colour guides an eye.

Frequently asked questions
Does a knot hold in such narrow ribbon?
Satin slips, so a simple knot tends to loosen. Pull it tight, leave the ends long enough, and add a drop of fabric glue inside if needed — then it stays where you put it.
How many colours can one project take?
Two or three from one family read coordinated; four quickly turn restless. On gift wrapping, use two tones and vary the bow shape instead.
Does it stretch as you tie?
Polyester gives hardly at all, so the length you measured is the length you keep. That helps when tying: your loop will not sag once the knot pulls tight.
Can I sew several side by side?
Yes, that gives a fine striped effect. Mark your lines with chalk first and keep the gaps even — at 6 mm, a gap of about one ribbon width looks right.
