Description
A seam ripper opens a seam stitch by stitch without harming the fabric. It measures 11.3 cm. Sold as a single item. Made from handle: steel, plastic.
A clean cut decides the seam: what is cut crooked can never be sewn straight afterwards. Fabric shears stay fabric shears: paper and tape blunt the edge faster than sharpening can restore it. After cutting, the tool goes back closed or secured, so that nobody reaches into it. Prym has made sewing notions in Stolberg for generations.

Do I need a cutting mat?
With rotary cutters, yes, otherwise the blade runs into the table. The mat closes up again after each cut and lasts a long time when stored flat.

How do I look after it?
