Description
<p>Grey green is a quiet grey with a hint of green for outdoor jackets, parkas and loden coats. It pairs with olive, taupe and stone grey and never pushes to the front. At 90 cm the zip is long enough for coats that reach mid-thigh.</p><p>Two sliders run on the same row of teeth. The upper one closes as usual, the lower one opens the jacket from below so it does not pull when you sit. At the box both halves separate completely. The 5 mm moulded plastic teeth are tough, run firmly and are easy to handle even with gloves.</p><p>Length is measured as tooth length from stopper to stopper, without the tape. Colour code 326.</p>

Sewing tips
- Länge am fertigen Schnittteil messen, nicht am Schnittmuster – Nahtzugaben und Saum verändern die gebrauchte Länge.
- Vor dem Einnähen beide Schieber zusammen nach oben ziehen und den Verschluss schließen, dann liegen die Hälften gleich hoch.
- Reißverschlussfuß verwenden; an den Schiebern die Nadel unten lassen, Fuß anheben und die Schieber vorbeischieben.
- Beide Seiten auf gleicher Höhe heften. Verschiebt sich eine Hälfte, steht die Jacke am Saum auseinander.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen den Beleg mit Vlieseline verstärken, sonst wellt sich die Kante entlang des Bandes.
- Krampenverschlüsse nicht direkt bügeln, die Kunststoffzähne vertragen keine Hitze.
- Beim Waschen den Verschluss schließen, dann verzieht sich das Band nicht.

Frequently asked questions
How do I position the sliders when sewing in?
Close the zip and pull both sliders up together. Then the halves sit level. When sewing past the sliders, leave the needle down, lift the foot and slide them past it.
Can I shorten the zip?
Yes, but only from the top, because the box and pin sit at the bottom. Remove a few teeth at the top, set a new stop with hand stitches and make sure the upper slider cannot slip off.
How do I separate the two halves?
Push both sliders all the way down until they rest against the box. Only then does the pin slide out. If the lower slider sits too high, it holds the halves together.
How do I measure the right length?
Measure the front edge on the finished pattern piece from hem to neckline and deduct the seam allowances. If the measurement falls between two lengths, take the longer one and shorten it at the top.
