Description

Large black peonies outlined in violet sit close together on a lime green ground. The contrast is strong and a little dramatic, typical of Cherry Picking.

At 135 g/m² this woven viscose is light, falls soft and fluid and feels cool on skin. It is dense enough not to be see-through, yet stays airy – just right for dresses, blouses and wide trousers. Viscose absorbs moisture well and creases less than cotton. Its 145 cm of width gives even flared skirts enough room.

Wash it once before cutting, as viscose can shrink a little in its first wash.

What Viscose Peonies Peonies on Lime Green by Swafing by Cherry Picking is suitable for

  • Summer dresses and midi skirts with a soft drape.
  • Blouses and tunics meant to sit loose and airy.
  • Wide trousers and culottes for warm seasons.

Frequently asked questions

How do I sew slippery viscose?

Use a fine microtex or universal needle and a short straight stitch. A rotary cutter works better than scissors, and plenty of pins or pattern weights keep it still. Finish edges with an overlocker or zigzag.

Does viscose shrink?

Viscose can shrink a little in its first wash. So wash the fabric once at 30 degrees before cutting and let it dry flat or on a hanger. After that its size stays stable.

How do I care for this viscose?

Wash at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle, do not bleach and do not tumble dry. Do not wring it out; hang it up damp, and most creases will smooth out by themselves.

Does the fabric fray?

Yes, woven viscose frays a little at raw edges. So finish every piece right after cutting. French seams are a nice, clean alternative for blouses.
