Description

At 11 mm this button counts among smaller ones — that size you find over blouses, children's shirts, lightweight cardigans. Its surface stays plain, matt. Its vier holes sit far enough apart that ordinary thread passes comfortably.

Made from 100 % recycled polyamide — same button, drawn from reclaimed material. This button survives whatever machine wash its garment needs, never warping. Sewing several, keep your thread slightly loose: a small gap above fabric lets each button slip through its hole later.

Buttonhole size follows diameter: at 11 mm a hole slightly wider than that suffices. Test one over a scrap first, then it sits.

What Plastic Button 11 mm salmon recycled is suitable for

  • Children's clothing, because 11 mm never reads coarse over small garments.
  • Blouses or shirts wanting a discreet button.
  • Cardigans plus knitwear made from finer yarn.
  • Replacing lost buttons over shop-bought clothing.

Frequently asked questions

Which thread should I sew these on with?

Ordinary sewing thread taken double holds over most garments. Jackets or hard-worn pieces deserve buttonhole thread, which survives considerably more.

How large should its buttonhole be?

Slightly wider than its diameter, so barely over 11 mm here. Thickness counts too: a flat button wants a tighter hole than a domed one. Always test over a scrap first.

Does it survive a washing machine?

Yes, plastic absorbs no water, never warping. Only while ironing, guide your iron around each button, otherwise its surface may dull.

Why keep thread slightly loose?

Because a button pulled tight sits against fabric, making it hard to fasten. Lay a matchstick underneath, sew, then withdraw it — leaving your button its shank.
