Description
This button measures 13 mm across, which is 1,3 cm, and is 4-hole. The glitter sits inside the plastic itself and cannot rub off. It is made from 100 % polyester. That keeps it light, indifferent to moisture and colourfast, so it hardly fades even after many washes. In Silver Glitter it suits blouses and shirts, children wear, and anything that may carry a visible fastening. Because plastic takes up no moisture, the button will not warp in the wash. Keeping one spare button is worth it, in case one comes off later.
What Plastic Button 13 mm in Silver Glitter is suitable for
- Blouses and shirts
- Children wear
- Cardigans and waistcoats
- Decoration on bags and cushions
Frequently asked questions
How big is the button exactly?
It measures 13 mm across, which is 1,3 cm. The buttonhole should be about as long as the diameter plus the thickness of the button, otherwise it either sticks or the button slips out again.
Can the button go in the machine?
Yes. Plastic takes up no water, does not warp and barely fades. Avoid pressing a hot iron directly onto the button though, as the surface can dull or pick up marks.
How do I sew it on?
4-hole means the thread runs through the holes rather than a shank. Lay a matchstick under the button, sew over it and pull it out again, which creates a small shank and makes the button easier to close.
Can I get matching buttons later?
That cannot be promised, as dye lots change over time. Take a few more buttons than you need right away, then you have spares should one come off or crack later on.
