Description
This brass fastening is set without sewing and is meant for goods that have to take something. The size comes to Ø 15 mm. Inside the pack are 10 pieces. The material is brass.
On bags, cases and pouches they hold a flap shut without anyone sewing where strain will later build. Before setting, look at the spot: two layers plus interfacing hold better than one single layer of thin cloth. The two halves lock into each other and open many times over without the fabric beneath suffering.
What Prym Anorak metal snap fastener 15mm in Antique Copper is suitable for
- Cuffs, hoods and necklines
- Flaps on bags and cases
- Alterations to finished garments
Frequently asked questions
What tool do I need?
Prym offers pliers and tool sets to match each size. The pliers work more quietly than hammer and anvil and hit more accurately, because the part sits in the insert and cannot slip while pressing.
Do they survive the wash?
The parts resist corrosion and come out of the machine as they went in. For very hot washes, turn the piece inside out so nothing knocks against the drum.
Are they suitable for babywear?
Yes, that is their main field. What matters is a firm seat: a fastening that comes apart by hand should be set again before the garment goes into use.
How many do I need?
A baby jacket needs only a few, a long placket needs considerably more. Count one extra so that a test on a scrap is covered.
