Prym's jersey snap fasteners are meant for soft, stretchy fabrics and are set without sewing. It measures Ø 12 mm. The pack holds 20 pieces. The material is brass.
Snap fasteners belong wherever a seam should open and close again: at a cuff, a hood, a bib or a wrap jacket. Before setting, look at the spot: two layers plus interfacing hold better than one single layer of thin cloth. They are set from both sides of the fabric; only then does the fastening sit tight. A test on a scrap shows whether the layer holds.

Frequently asked questions
Which fabrics do they suit?
From jersey to denim, most things work. Thin cloth needs a reinforcement under the fastening, or it will tear out over time. Two layers plus interfacing make the safe build-up.
Do they survive the wash?
The parts resist corrosion and come out of the machine as they went in. For very hot washes, turn the piece inside out so nothing knocks against the drum.
How many do I need?
A baby jacket needs only a few, a long placket needs considerably more. Count one extra so that a test on a scrap is covered.
What spacing should I keep?
As a rule of thumb the first one sits about its own width from the edge, the rest at even intervals. Marking with chalk or a pen keeps the row straight.
