Description
Prym's jersey snap fasteners are meant for soft, stretchy fabrics and are set without sewing. The stated size is Ø 12 mm. Sold as 20 pieces. The material is brass.
They are set from both sides of the fabric; only then does the fastening sit tight. A test on a scrap shows whether the layer holds. For babywear, swaddle blankets and play mats, snap fasteners answer faster than a buttonhole or a zip. The two halves lock into each other and open many times over without the fabric beneath suffering. Prym has made sewing notions in Stolberg for generations.
What Prym 'Jersey' Druckknöpfe Mint 390777 is suitable for

Frequently asked questions
What tool do I need?
Prym offers pliers and tool sets to match each size. The pliers work more quietly than hammer and anvil and hit more accurately, because the part sits in the insert and cannot slip while pressing.
Can a badly placed fastener be removed?
Yes, there is removal tooling for that. It rarely comes off without a trace, so test on a scrap first until position and pressure are right.
Do they survive the wash?
The parts resist corrosion and come out of the machine as they went in. For very hot washes, turn the piece inside out so nothing knocks against the drum.
How many do I need?
A baby jacket needs only a few, a long placket needs considerably more. Count one extra so that a test on a scrap is covered.
