Snap fasteners belong wherever a seam should open and close again: at a cuff, a hood, a bib or a wrap jacket. They are set from both sides of the fabric; only then does the fastening sit tight. A test on a scrap shows whether the layer holds. The two halves lock into each other and open many times over without the fabric beneath suffering.
