Description
The stripe pattern is woven into this webbing rather than printed on top. It therefore sits inside the structure of the band, does not wear away and survives many washes. At 38 mm the band sits between the common sizes. It is made from 100 % polyester, so it is firm, keeps its shape and fades little. Use it for bag straps, for belts, and as a highlight against plain fabrics. Sold by the metre from 0,2 metres. A cut end seals at a flame and will not fray further afterwards.

Is the pattern printed or woven?
It is woven. The thread sits within the structure of the band rather than on its surface, so the pattern does not wear away, barely fades and survives washing as well as the rest.
Which hardware suits 38 mm?
Hardware for 38 mm comes as side-release buckles, ladder locks and triglides. What matters is the inner width of the hardware rather than its outer size: too narrow and the band jams, too wide and it slips.
Does the band fray at the edge?
Polyester melts under heat. Hold the cut end briefly near a flame, or use a hot knife, and the edge stays sealed for good instead of unravelling further.
Can I wash it?
Yes, polyester takes household washing well and does not shrink. Wash it together with the finished piece where you can, so band and fabric age evenly and the colours keep matching.
