Description
Webbing carries weight, so what counts above all is that it never lengthens under load. This one comes densely woven from polyester, at 3,8 cm wide enough to spread a loaded bag across your shoulder rather than cutting in. Natural beside beige reads warm, holding back against whatever fabric it meets.
Those lengthwise stripes run right through, woven rather than printed, so they stay visible after many washes. Both faces look alike, which means no direction to watch while cutting.
Cut it by hot knife, or pass its end briefly over a flame, letting that edge fuse. If you would rather not, fold your end twice, then stitch it down.
What Webbing 38 mm Striped natural and beige is suitable for
- Bag straps plus backpack straps, because 3,8 cm spreads weight properly.
- Belts, since this webbing holds firmly enough under a buckle.
- Loops or handles over sewn bags that get daily use.
- Replacing stretched-out straps over shop-bought bags.

Frequently asked questions
How do I stop cut ends fraying?
Pass that edge briefly along a lighter flame, letting polyester fuse. Otherwise fold your end twice, stitching it down as a rectangle, which turns out sturdier anyway.
Which hardware suits this webbing?
Clasps, D-rings or sliders offering 3,8 cm clearance. Narrower hardware still works if you fold your webbing at its passage, though that fold wants securing by a seam.
Does it lengthen under load?
Polyester barely stretches, unlike cotton webbing. So a bag strap keeps its length, even when that bag travels heavy over longer stretches.
Can this webbing be washed?
Yes, it survives whatever wash its garment or bag needs. Stripes are woven, never fading; only very hot ironing deserves avoiding.
