Whatever you cut from Felty does not fray: no finishing, no seam allowance, no pressed-under edge. 25 cm wide, 3 m long — the roll covers a whole run of designs. The stated weight per square metre is 210 g/m².

Patches keep their shape when backed with a fusible stabiliser. The 25 cm roll matches what the felt is used for: labels, patches, small appliqué. Large areas are rarely the point. Store it dry, flat and without creases. It ships singly, so you can restock exactly what you need.

Sewing tips

Der Filz franst nicht, die Kante braucht also keine Versäuberung.
Zum Besticken ein Stickvlies unterlegen, sonst zieht die Stichdichte den Filz zusammen.
Waschbar bei 30 °C — Applikationen halten damit auch an Kleidung, die regelmäßig gewaschen wird.
Mit einer scharfen Schere oder dem Rollschneider zuschneiden; stumpfe Klingen ziehen Fasern.
Für Aufnäher den Filz mit Aufbügelvlies hinterlegen, dann bleibt die Form auch nach dem Aufbügeln erhalten.

Can I wash the felt?

Yes, at 30 °C. It keeps its shape and its colour. The real limit comes from the garment the appliqué sits on rather than from the felt.

How thick is the felt?

Dense enough to hold its shape and thin enough for a sewing machine to handle without effort. For appliqué on clothing that is exactly the right range.

How many colours are there?

Over twenty, from muted naturals to neon. Anyone making appliqué in series finds nearly every tone — and the colour number makes it reorderable. The number appears on the band and in the article name.

What do I do with offcuts?

Keep them. Felt offcuts store indefinitely, do not fray and are plenty for letters, small shapes and badges — work that only needs strips anyway. A shoebox of felt offcuts is worth its weight in any workroom.
