A light, clear tone: Ecru White covers well and does not yellow — even after many washes your seam stays as pale as on day one. Colour code 1000 and 2500 m of yardage — the figures that let this same tone be reordered. Thread tension may sit slightly lower than for sewing thread — this one is softer.
It serves a coverstitch machine as well, as long as tension is matched to its softer twist. Trojalock belongs to the threads you restock by consumption rather than choose by tone.
What Trojalock Overlockgarn Ecruweiß is suitable for
- rolled hems on light fabrics
- edges on clothing worn against skin
- coverstitch seams on cuffs
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How many cones do I need?
Four at once for the common four-thread stitch, three for the three-thread stitch. A seam in one colour throughout therefore needs several cones of that tone rather than one.
Does it suit a coverstitch machine?
Yes. A coverstitch machine takes the same soft thread; only the tension has to match. On visible cover seams it pays to match the tone closely to your fabric.
Which colour do I pick when I cannot match the fabric?
When unsure, take the slightly darker option. On a neatened edge a thread that is too light shows at once, while a darker one disappears into the cloth and stays discreet.
Can I mix different threads in one seam?
In the loopers yes, on the needle threads rather not. Different threads stretch by different amounts, and your seam then pulls together unevenly or ripples along the edge.
