Description

The tone Yellow brings warmth into a project. On grey, denim and natural shades it reads as an especially clear contrast. The large cone carries 2500 m of overlock thread, printed with colour code 0607. Thread tension may sit slightly lower than for sewing thread — this one is softer.

A neutral tone may run in the loopers: it barely shows in the finished stitch. Trojalock belongs to the threads you restock by consumption rather than choose by tone. Change needles regularly; blunt points drag at a soft thread.

What Trojalock Overlockgarn Gelb is suitable for

  • rolled hems on light fabrics
  • seams on children's clothes washed often
  • visible edges in the fabric colour

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it in a sewing machine?

Better not for load-bearing seams. Overlock thread is built for softness and takes less strain than sewing thread. For decorative and basting seams it is no problem.

Why does my thread break?

Usually tension set too tight, a blunt needle or a wrong threading path. On an overlocker rethreading completely in the prescribed order pays off.

How should I store the cones?

Upright, dry and out of the light. Because of their size cones usually stand in the open — a net or a box stops threads unwinding and tangling.

Can I neaten jersey with it?

Yes, that is the normal case. An overlock seam stretches with the fabric, and the soft thread adds no bulk to the edge — together that makes it right for knits.
