This spool carries orange, yellow and ochre in a flowing change. Any area reads more lively with it than with a single tone. The spool carries 200 m at weight 40; colour code 1507 finds this exact sequence of tones again. The sheen arises inside the polyester filament and therefore lasts.
It also suits quilting seams and decorative topstitching wherever a seam should look lively. Madeira dyes the thread in sections. While stitching that becomes a gradient which looks slightly different on every design.
What Madeira Polyneon Desert Hill is suitable for
- area embroidery designs with a gradient
- flowers, leaves and ornaments
- designs on textiles washed hot
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
Can I steer where each colour lands?
Only partly. Stitch length influences the rhythm: long stitches show larger blocks of colour, short ones blend the tones more. The exact distribution stays with the stitch path.
How may I wash the piece?
As its fabric allows. This thread is chlorine- and boil-proof, so it sets no limit on temperature. Every tone on the spool is set to the same colourfastness.
What is the colour code for?
With multicolour it matters more than usual: a sequence of tones is hard to describe, but the code finds exactly this spool again, even years later.
How should I store the spool?
Upright, dry and out of the light. Direct sun bleaches the outer layers, and with multicolour it shows at once when one tone grows paler than the rest.
