Description
This thread shows Apple Green. On light ground your seam reads clearly, on dark it stays pleasantly restrained. 400 m at weight 40, printed with colour code 1850 — that is how you find this tone again later. The spool is sold singly, so you can top up one tone on purpose.
For towels, bathrobes and bed linen boil resistance decides: a design keeps its colour even when washed hot. The material is polyester, the finish smooth and even — together that gives a thread which lies flat inside a design.
What Madeira Polyneon Embroidery Thread 400 m Apple Green is suitable for
- designs on swimwear and workwear
- decorative stitches on a sewing machine
- labelling bags and gym sacks
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How may I wash the finished piece?
As its fabric allows. The thread is boil-proof and chlorine-proof, so it sets no limit on temperature. That limit comes from the material you stitched on.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Best from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
How do I plan several colours?
Fix the sequence beforehand and lay the spools out in that order. It saves time at each change and prevents similar tones being swapped by mistake.
Which colour suits which fabric?
Dark tones work on light ground, light tones on dark. When unsure, lay the thread on the fabric before stitching — on a screen every colour looks different than in your hand.
