Dark Olive sits in the green range and so reads natural rather than technical. On brown and beige it makes a calm pairing. Colour code 1796, weight 40, 400 m of yardage: the figures that let this same colour be reordered exactly. The thread is wound smoothly and feeds without jerking.
It suits quilting stitches too, wherever a seam is meant to shine on purpose. An embroidery thread without a special purpose: Polyneon works on wovens and knits alike, as long as the stabiliser suits your fabric. The spool belongs upright in your box so the thread does not unwind on its own.

Sewing tips
- Die Oberfadenspannung beim Sticken lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.
- Ein dünnes Untergarn als Unterfaden nehmen, nicht dasselbe Polyneon.
- Ein Fadennetz über der Spule verhindert, dass sich der Faden in Schlaufen legt.
- Nadelstärke 75 oder 80 mit Stickspitze reicht für die meisten Stoffe.
- Bei dichten Motiven langsamer sticken, sonst erhitzt der Faden und reißt.

Do I need stabiliser?
Almost always. Stabiliser holds your fabric steady in the hoop so a design does not distort. Tear-away suits wovens, cut-away suits stretch, water-soluble suits terry.
What is the colour code for?
It is the identity of this colour. With it you reorder the same tone years later, while comparing on a screen or from memory almost always misses.
Why does my design ripple?
Usually stitch density is too high or stabiliser is missing. Reduce density in your software, add suitable stabiliser and hoop the fabric taut but not stretched.
How should I store the spools?
Upright, dry and out of the light. Polyester is lightfast, but dust on the thread carries lint into your machine. A closed box is entirely enough.
