Description
A full, warm Yellow Orange: the tone looks especially coherent on natural fabrics and holds up through many washes. This spool carries 400 m of thread at weight 40. Note colour code 1772 with your project. Because polyester takes up hardly any moisture, this thread stays supple even in damp rooms.
On terry this thread adds hardly any bulk and still stays clearly visible. Polyneon shines without reading metallic. The shimmer stays soft and gives a design relief rather than glare. Note the colour code with your project straight away, then you will find this tone again.
What Madeira Polyneon Embroidery Thread 400 m Yellow Orange is suitable for
- designs on swimwear and workwear
- appliqué on children's clothes
- quilting stitches as a design element
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the thread tension?
While embroidering the top tension may sit looser than for sewing. It is right when the reverse shows roughly one third top thread and two thirds bobbin thread.
Can I sew with it?
For decorative seams yes, for load-bearing seams rather not. Embroidery thread is built for sheen and suppleness, not for the tensile strength a structural seam needs over years.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Best from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
How do I hoop the fabric properly?
Taut like a drum skin, but without stretching. Pull at the cloth and you get ripples once it comes out. On stretch material a fusible stabiliser on the reverse helps as well.
