Ocean Blue reads calm and matter-of-fact. As a seam the tone disappears on blue fabric and steps forward on light. Colour code 1695, weight 40, 400 m of yardage: the figures that let this same colour be reordered exactly. A net over the spool keeps the feed even and prevents loops.
For towels, bathrobes and bed linen boil resistance decides: a design keeps its colour even when washed hot. Polyneon is Madeira's machine embroidery thread: polyester with a high sheen, chlorine- and boil-proof. A design holds up with it even where washing gets aggressive.

Sewing tips
- Die Oberfadenspannung beim Sticken lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate bobbin thread?
Yes. A fine bobbin thread belongs in the case, not this same embroidery thread. Otherwise the reverse builds bulk, a design ripples and your machine pulls more thread than it needs.
What do I do when the thread breaks?
Usually your machine runs too fast or the tension is too tight. Slow down, loosen the tension and check the thread path. A net over the spool keeps the feed calm.
What is the colour code for?
It is the identity of this colour. With it you reorder the same tone years later, while comparing on a screen or from memory almost always misses.
How far does one spool go?
It depends on your design: a monogram needs a few metres, a densely stitched area many times more. For recurring designs in one colour the larger spool pays off.
