Description
Natural and calm: Light Green suits canvas, linen and anything that belongs outdoors. 400 m, weight 40, colour code 1648: three figures worth more in a project book than any colour description. The spool is sold singly, so you can top up one tone on purpose.
On dark fabrics the sheen comes fully into its own — a design then lifts away in the light as well as in colour. Chlorine-proof, boil-proof, lightfast: three qualities an embroidery thread needs on everyday textiles. Before your first design a test piece on the same fabric with the same stabiliser pays off.
What Madeira Polyneon Embroidery Thread 400 m Light Green is suitable for
- embroidery on textiles washed hot
- decorative stitches on a sewing machine
- quilting stitches as a design element
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
What does chlorine-proof mean?
The thread does not lose its colour on contact with chlorinated water or chlorine-based cleaners. For beach towels, swimwear and workwear that is the decisive difference from plain embroidery thread.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Best from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
Is the spool sold singly?
Yes, every spool is available on its own. That lets you restock one tone instead of ordering an assortment of which half stays unused in your box.
How do I hoop the fabric properly?
Taut like a drum skin, but without stretching. Pull at the cloth and you get ripples once it comes out. On stretch material a fusible stabiliser on the reverse helps as well.
