Description
With Mallow you set an accent you do not see on every piece. That is exactly what makes the tone interesting. Weight 40 and 400 m per spool are the figures for machine embroidery; colour code 1712 sits on the band. The spool is sold singly, so you can top up one tone on purpose.
It suits quilting stitches too, wherever a seam is meant to shine on purpose. This thread is tuned to embroidery machines: evenly twisted, tear-resistant and smooth enough to pass the needle eye without friction.
What Madeira Polyneon Embroidery Thread 400 m Mallow is suitable for
- machine embroidery on cotton, sweat and terry
- monograms and lettering
- labelling bags and gym sacks
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the thread tension?
While embroidering the top tension may sit looser than for sewing. It is right when the reverse shows roughly one third top thread and two thirds bobbin thread.
What is the colour code for?
It is the identity of this colour. With it you reorder the same tone years later, while comparing on a screen or from memory almost always misses.
Why does my design ripple?
Usually stitch density is too high or stabiliser is missing. Reduce density in your software, add suitable stabiliser and hoop the fabric taut but not stretched.
Which colour should the bobbin thread be?
White under light fabrics, black under dark ones. On sheer material a look from the right side before stitching pays off — the wrong bobbin thread shimmers through a design.
