Rose suits anything meant to look light. Beside grey and beige it reads especially coherent. 400 m, weight 40, colour code 1816: three figures worth more in a project book than any colour description. A fine bobbin thread belongs in the case, not this same embroidery thread.
On dark fabrics the sheen comes fully into its own — a design then lifts away in the light as well as in colour. Polyneon belongs to the robust embroidery threads. Chlorine and boil resistance make it the pick for anything washed often and hot.
What Madeira Polyneon Rose is suitable for
- machine embroidery on cotton, sweat and terry
- area fill stitches where the sheen pays off
- decorative stitches on a sewing machine
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
Do I need stabiliser?
Almost always. Stabiliser holds your fabric steady in the hoop so a design does not distort. Tear-away suits wovens, cut-away suits stretch, water-soluble suits terry.
How should I store the spools?
Upright, dry and out of the light. Polyester is lightfast, but dust on the thread carries lint into your machine. A closed box is entirely enough.
Is the spool sold singly?
Yes, every spool is available on its own. That lets you restock one tone instead of ordering an assortment of which half stays unused in your box.
Which colour suits which fabric?
Dark tones work on light ground, light tones on dark. When unsure, lay the thread on the fabric before stitching — on a screen every colour looks different than in your hand.
