This coil carries 3 mm spiral width, tape width 2,5 cm. Its tape is made from 100 % polyester. Cut it by sharp scissors straight through tape plus coil, then thread your slider on from an open end.

Work a few firm stitches across that coil below, so your slider stops there. Its upper end disappears into whatever seam encloses your zip anyway.

Sewing tips

Die passenden Schieber gibt es einzeln: Spiralbreite und Schieber müssen zusammenpassen, 3 mm zu 3 mm, 5 mm zu 5 mm.
Den Schieber von einem Ende auf beide Bandhälften zugleich schieben, dann mit ein paar Handstichen oder einem Endstück einen Anschlag setzen.
Etwa 3 cm länger zuschneiden als die fertige Öffnung, damit Platz für Anschläge und Nahtzugabe bleibt.
Reißverschlussfuß verwenden und knappkantig neben der Spirale nähen.
Zum Waschen schließen. Die Spirale nur mit mäßiger Hitze und Tuch bügeln.
