Description

Cream sits between white and beige, reading softer than either. Beside wool or knit it looks warmer than a clean white. 40 cm long — pick your length by the pattern piece rather than the paper pattern, since seam allowances and hem change the measurement.

That continuous coil measures 3 mm. Unlike separate metal teeth it forms an even line and runs silently. Sold singly. Sewing tips

  • Zum Waschen schließen. Offene Zähne verhaken sich in Maschenware und ziehen Fäden.

Frequently asked questions

How do I care for the finished piece?

Close the fastener before every wash. The tape then will not distort and the teeth cannot catch in other laundry. Never press directly over the slider.

How does it look tidy inside?

A facing or lining covers the tape. Without either, finish your seam allowances with overlock or zigzag beforehand, or they fray beside the tape.

Do I need two sliders?

Closed-end fasteners carry one, and that suffices — two sliders only make sense on long, separating fasteners, such as coats you want to open from the bottom.

What do I do with the tape ends?

They run into the seam allowance and are caught there. Fold them slightly outwards at an angle, so they add no bulk at the corner and the slider reaches the top.
