About this range

The short lengths go into trousers and skirts, the medium ones into cushion covers, wash bags and rucksacks. The 3 mm coil is the standard here: narrow, soft, unobtrusive.

Where the zip is meant to stay visible, metal is the choice – brass or nickel, with heavier teeth and more weight. It belongs on jeans, leather goods and anything that may look hand-made.

Frequently asked questions

Which length do I need for trousers?

Women's trousers usually take 16 to 20 cm, men's 14 to 18 cm. Measure the opening your pattern calls for.

Can a closed end zip be shortened?

Yes, from the top: sew across at the length you need or fit a new stopper, then cut off the rest. The bottom end stays as it is.
