Description

Beige grey is taupe kept calm: a warm grey with a hint of brown. It suits natural tones as readily as grey. 35 cm — that length is measured without the tape running into the seam above and below.

A plastic coil of 3 mm. It weighs almost nothing and stays flexible enough not to intrude on blouses or dresses. Close the fastener before every wash, so the tape will not distort and the teeth cannot catch in other laundry. Never press directly over the slider.

What Closed-End Zip 35 cm Beige Grey is suitable for

  • Dresses fastening at the side, because that seam stays calm.
  • Seat cushion covers, because the cover comes off for washing.
  • Sewing folders and tool rolls, because this fastener holds the contents.

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions

How do I get the seam close to the teeth?

With a zip foot, a slow pace and a tacked edge. Press the allowance beforehand and it lies flat while you sew, so the seam keeps an even distance.

Does it work on jersey?

Yes, if you stabilise the edge. A strip of interfacing or a narrow stay tape in the seam allowance stops that edge stretching as you sew and rippling later.

How does metal differ from coil?

Metal teeth sit separately on the tape; a coil runs continuously. Metal reads stronger and more visible, a coil stays lighter and more flexible — on thin fabrics the calmer choice.

What do I do with the tape ends?

They run into the seam allowance and are caught there. Fold them slightly outwards at an angle, so they add no bulk at the corner and the slider reaches the top.
