Separating Zip 65 cm White
Item no. 12471
€2.90per piece
Unit price €4.46 / m · incl. VAT, plus shipping
A separating zip in white, 65 cm long, Krampe at 5 mm. Sold singly. The stated length is tooth length without the tape. Measure on your finished pattern piece.
A clear white with no cream cast. On white or pale fabrics it stays discreet; on dark ones it turns into a design element. 65 cm long — pick your length by the pattern piece rather than the paper pattern, since seam allowances and hem change the measurement.
5 mm metal teeth. They turn the fastener into a visible design element rather than a purely functional part. Sold singly. Measure the front edge on your finished pattern piece, hem to neckline, and deduct seam allowances — on paper that measurement rarely holds.
What Separating Zip 65 cm White is suitable for
Children's jackets, because the piece goes on and off easily.
Softshell jackets, because the fastener carries real function there.
Cardigans, because a fastener replaces a button placket.
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on sweat and jersey?
Yes, with strips of interfacing in the edge. Without reinforcement, knitted cloth stretches as you sew and the fastener pulls your finished jacket crooked.
How do I stop the slider scratching a chin?
A small fabric tab over the upper end, or a piece of facing reaching past the slider. Either costs little effort and makes a jacket far more comfortable.
How do I care for the finished jacket?
Close the fastener before every wash. The tape then will not distort and the teeth cannot catch in other laundry. Never press directly over the slider.
How should I store fasteners?
Flat and closed, ideally sorted by length. Stored folded, the tape keeps that crease, and you see it later along the sewn-in edge.
