Description
Natural white is the lightest shade in the range, a warm white with a touch of cream rather than a cool pure white. In boucle it looks like freshly washed sheep's wool and pairs well with camel, brown and denim. It is the first choice for children's jackets and Scandinavian-style cushions.
Kodiak has dense, small boucle curls on the outside and a firm woven backing on the inside. The reverse is not fleece and is not meant to be shown on garments. Jackets, vests and coats are therefore lined: with jersey for stretch patterns, otherwise with plain cotton, poplin or cotton sateen.
When cutting, lay all pieces in the same pile direction and cut only through the base so the pile is not trimmed. A walking foot keeps the layers together.
What Plush in Natural White is suitable for
- Teddy jackets, vests and coats with a lining, because the firm woven backing gives the fabric body.
- Armchair covers, stools and seat cushions, as the compact curls stand up well to frequent use.
- Cushions and throws that should feel soft and warm.
- Collars, pocket trims and hoods as a boucle accent on smooth fabrics.
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
Does Kodiak need a lining?
For garments, yes. The reverse is a woven base rather than fleece, so a lined jacket or vest is more comfortable and lasts longer. Jersey suits stretch patterns, otherwise use plain cotton, poplin or cotton sateen.
How do I wash Kodiak?
At 30 degrees on a gentle cycle, ideally turned inside out. Do not put it in the dryer, let it dry flat instead. That keeps the curls loose and the fabric holds its shape.
Can I iron Kodiak?
Preferably not directly. If you must, iron only from the wrong side, with little heat and a pressing cloth in between. On the right side the iron flattens the curls and the mark stays visible.
Which lining colour suits Kodiak?
Tone on tone looks calm and refined, a contrast adds an accent when the jacket is opened. The type matters more: jersey for stretch patterns, cotton or cotton sateen for all others.
