Pink is strong and warm — the loudest of the pink tones. On quiet fabrics it suffices as your single colour accent. Tooth length comes to 30 cm. Lay it against your piece before cutting and you will see at once whether the opening sits right.
At 5 mm the coil is strong enough for sweat jackets and bags, yet still light enough not to drag at your fabric. Tack the edge before sewing and press the seam allowance flat, then your topstitching keeps an even distance. A slow pace helps more here than routine.
What Teilbare Reißverschlüsse Pink is suitable for
- Sweat jackets, because the piece opens completely.
- Cardigans, because a fastener replaces a button placket.
- Covers meant to come off entirely, because both halves separate.
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
The slider sticks — what helps?
Usually fabric is caught between the teeth; ease it out rather than forcing it. If it still runs stiff, a little candle wax on the teeth helps.
Does a separating zip suit bags?
Rarely. A closed-end one serves better there, or your bag opens at the bottom. Separating only pays when two parts really should come apart.
How should I store fasteners?
Flat and closed, ideally sorted by length. Stored folded, the tape keeps that crease, and you see it later along the sewn-in edge.
How far should the topstitching sit?
About three to five millimetres beside the teeth. Too close and the slider brushes your seam; too far and the fabric throws a ripple over the tape.
