As a melange, dusky pink gains further depth: finely blended fibres make the shade look lively, removing its last trace of sweetness. Beside grey or natural white it creates a garment looking soft while staying grown-up. This French terry sits in the middle weight, draping softly, which shows especially well in dresses. Mottled fabrics suit mottled ribbing: the lively surface then continues across a whole garment instead of ending abruptly at an edge. Colour-matched Heike ribbing finishes sleeves and hems in exactly the same tone.

Yes, prints belong on the smooth outside. Test on a scrap first, because the temperature must stay low. Across several layers at hoods or pockets, lower presser foot pressure or a walking foot keeps everything from shifting.
