Terracotta gains noticeably as a melange: blended fibres let the rust orange shift, recalling handmade ceramics. A jumper in this shade brings warmth into grey autumn weeks without turning loud. This French terry sits in the middle weight, draping softly, which looks especially lovely in dresses or cardigans. Mottled terracotta pairs happily beside natural white, muddy beige, ochre and dark green; next to denim blue it works surprisingly well too, acting as a warm counterpoint.
