Berry 639 sits between raspberry and pink: warm, saturated, carrying enough blue never to appear garish. As ribbing against grey, anthracite or natural white it creates a colourful finish that still avoids looking like a nursery. This fine rib stretches widely, springing back reliably, so necklines stay snug. Through autumn this berry becomes a fresh alternative replacing burgundy; during spring it looks almost summery beside natural white. Combined alongside dusky pink it forms a soft pairing suiting women's jumpers.

Cut the strip crosswise to the selvedge, where the stretch runs, then fold it lengthwise along the crease. Rule of thumb: neckbands about two thirds to three quarters of the neckline, sleeve or hem bands slightly shorter than the circumference.
