Description
Its boucle side is a warm chocolate brown, and its fleece side a muted mud shade with a greenish undertone. Together they feel earthy and natural, like a forest floor in autumn.
Two sides, two colours: the boucle side carries small, crimped curls, while its fleece side is smooth and soft. Collars, hood edges, lapels and turned-up sleeves are ideal places to show the reverse on purpose. At 390 g/m² the cloth is warm and holds its shape, yet lighter than it looks. Its 150 cm of width gives reversible jackets enough room.
Tip: fold collars and cuffs back, and the second colour shows all by itself.

Sewing tips
- Doubleface: Die Fleece-Abseite ist die fertige Innenseite. Westen und Jacken brauchen kein Futter.
- Weil man die Innenseite sieht, die Nähte sauber versäubern, als Kappnaht oder mit Schrägband eingefasst.
- Kanten mit Schrägband oder Bündchen einfassen. Fleece franst nicht, offene Kanten gehen also auch.
- Bei Paddy zeigt sich die abgesetzte Rückseite überall, wo der Stoff umgeschlagen wird, am Kragen, am Revers und an den Ärmelaufschlägen. Diese Stellen beim Zuschnitt bewusst einplanen.
- Alle Teile in dieselbe Strichrichtung zuschneiden.
- Universalnadel 90, Stichlänge 3, am besten mit Obertransportfuß.
- Nicht direkt bügeln, die Locken drücken sich sonst platt.
- Bei 30 Grad waschen, nicht in den Trockner.

Frequently asked questions
Which needle and foot should I use?
A medium jersey needle passes cleanly through curls and ground. A walking foot stops the layers from shifting in the pile. Sew two test seams on a scrap first and lengthen the stitch slightly.
How do I finish edges on a reversible jacket?
This knit does not fray, so raw edges stay stable. For a neat reversible edge, bind it with fold-over elastic or jersey bias binding; alternatively lay seam allowances flat and topstitch close to the edge.
Does the fabric shed when cut?
The curls release short fibres. A rotary cutter on a mat leaves less behind than scissors, and a vacuum within reach next to the table saves wiping up later.
How do I care for Paddy?
Wash at 30 degrees, do not bleach and never tumble dry – heat flattens those curls. Let it dry flat, then the pile lifts again. Iron at most on a low setting from the fleece side.
