Teddy Boucle Fleece Natural White by Swafing

Natural white is a warm, creamy white, the same shade on both sides. The curls outside and the smooth fleece inside together feel like a soft winter coat. The shade goes with camel, smoke blue and grey and is especially popular for baby jackets and vests.

Teddy Boucle is a doubleface fabric: small, densely set boucle curls on the outside and smooth fleece on the inside. Both sides are finished, so a vest or jacket needs no lining. Edges can be left raw or bound with bias tape, because fleece does not fray.

When cutting, lay all pieces in the same pile direction. A walking foot stops the layers from shifting.

Sewing tips

• Doubleface: Die Fleece-Abseite ist die fertige Innenseite. Westen und Jacken brauchen kein Futter.
• Weil man die Innenseite sieht, die Nähte sauber versäubern, als Kappnaht oder mit Schrägband eingefasst.
• Kanten mit Schrägband oder Bündchen einfassen. Fleece franst nicht, offene Kanten gehen also auch.
• Bei Paddy zeigt sich die abgesetzte Rückseite überall, wo der Stoff umgeschlagen wird, am Kragen, am Revers und an den Ärmelaufschlägen. Diese Stellen beim Zuschnitt bewusst einplanen.
• Alle Teile in dieselbe Strichrichtung zuschneiden.
• Universalnadel 90, Stichlänge 3, am besten mit Obertransportfuß.
• Nicht direkt bügeln, die Locken drücken sich sonst platt.
• Bei 30 Grad waschen, nicht in den Trockner.
