Description
The tone Gold brings warmth into a project. On grey, denim and natural shades it reads as an especially clear contrast. 50 m per spool: that amount is cut for accents rather than whole designs. Colour code 24. Ordinary sewing thread in a matching colour belongs in the bobbin.
For the bobbin take ordinary sewing thread in a matching colour, not the effect thread itself. Its metallic shine comes from a wrapped foil. That is why the thread wants to be worked more slowly than smooth sewing thread. Note the colour code with your project.

Which needle do I need?
A metallic needle. Its larger eye rubs less against the wrapping, which otherwise abrades. With an ordinary embroidery needle the thread breaks far more often, especially on dense designs.
Can I wash the piece?
Yes, at a gentle temperature. The shine survives as long as it is not washed hot or put through a dryer. For occasion wear hand washing is the safe option.
Which bobbin thread suits it?
A fine bobbin thread, as with any machine embroidery. Metallic thread belongs on top only; in the bobbin it would upset stitch formation and abrade in the hook.
Is the spool sold singly?
Yes, every spool is sold on its own. Since metallic thread is usually needed for single accents only, one spool often lasts across many projects without running out.
