Description
With Hot Pink you get a tone between red and white — delicate, but not pale. At 50 m the spool is deliberately small. The colour code is 247. The spool is sold singly.
This thread is meant for accents: topstitching, monograms, small embroidery — not for areas. The small spool suits the use: topstitching and monograms need little, and part-used spools otherwise sit around for years. A test piece beforehand shows whether tension and speed suit. Frequently asked questions
Why does metallic thread break so easily?
Because the metal foil around its core is more delicate than a smooth polyester filament. Stitch slower, loosen the top tension and fit a metallic needle with a large eye — that usually solves it.
How durable is the embroidery?
Under normal use good. Metallic thread is not meant for garments stressed daily — for festive pieces, decoration and accents its durability is entirely sufficient.
Can I sew with it on a sewing machine?
For decorative seams yes, slowly and with loosened tension. For load-bearing seams it is unsuitable: the core holds, but the wrapping abrades along the seam over time.
What is the colour code for?
Metallic tones differ in nuances that are hard to describe. The code on the spool is therefore the only reliable detail when you want to restock the same shine.
