Light Pink is a soft tone with a clear direction. On light fabrics it reads delicate, on dark ones surprisingly distinct. This small spool holds 50 m of effect thread, and the colour code reads 624. The spool is sold singly.
This thread is meant for accents: topstitching, monograms, small embroidery — not for areas. Gütermann lists the effect thread in metal tones and strong colours with a shimmer — neither of which shows on an ordinary seam. This small spool covers several accents. The spool belongs dust-free and upright in your box.

Frequently asked questions
Why does metallic thread break so easily?
Because the metal foil around its core is more delicate than a smooth polyester filament. Stitch slower, loosen the top tension and fit a metallic needle with a large eye — that usually solves it.
How fast may I stitch?
Considerably slower than with polyester. Friction in the needle eye warms the thread, and metal foil takes that worse than a smooth core. About half your usual speed is a good starting point.
Which bobbin thread suits it?
A fine bobbin thread, as with any machine embroidery. Metallic thread belongs on top only; in the bobbin it would upset stitch formation and abrade in the hook.
What is the colour code for?
Metallic tones differ in nuances that are hard to describe. The code on the spool is therefore the only reliable detail when you want to restock the same shine.
