Description
This spool carries black, grey and white in a flowing change. Any area reads more lively with it than with a single tone. The spool carries 200 m; colour code 9979 finds this exact sequence of tones again. The sheen arises inside the polyester filament and therefore lasts.
It also suits quilting seams and decorative topstitching wherever a seam should look lively. Amann Mettler dyes the thread in sections. While stitching that becomes a gradient which turns out slightly differently on every design. Note the colour code with your project — the mixture cannot be described otherwise.

Do I need a separate bobbin thread?
Yes, a fine bobbin thread belongs in the case. With a changing top colour a neutral one works best, since no single tone matches the surface throughout.
Can I combine it with a solid thread?
Yes, and often that is the better answer: the area multicoloured, the outline in one of its tones. Your design then reads lively and still stays clearly defined.
Which needle suits it?
An embroidery needle with a larger eye and a slight ball point. It spares the thread and leaves your weave undamaged. A change after each larger project pays off, since blunt points drag.
How far does one spool go?
That depends on your design. For several medium areas it goes a long way. If you plan a very large design, two spools with the same colour code keep the mixture identical.
