Description

The thread runs orange, yellow and cream in short sections. A design gains depth from it without your needing several spools. Colour code 9925 and 200 m per spool: the figures that let this same mixture be reordered. Mettler calls this mixture Sunny Rays.

It also suits quilting seams and decorative topstitching wherever a seam should look lively. Mettler composes its multi versions in matched sequences. Within one spool the colours suit each other. Note the colour code with your project — the mixture cannot be described otherwise.

What Amann Mettler Poly Sheen Multi Sunny Rays 200 m is suitable for

  • area embroidery designs with a gradient
  • quilting seams meant to look lively
  • appliqué on children's clothes

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions

How does the colour change arise?

The thread is dyed in sections. While stitching the colour travels with the thread through your design, so the gradient appears without any intervention and differs on every design.

How do I set the thread tension?

Looser for embroidery than for sewing. It is right when the reverse shows roughly one third top thread and two thirds bobbin thread, whichever tone happens to run.

How should I store the spool?

Upright, dry and out of the light. Direct sun bleaches the outer layers, and in a mixture it shows at once when one tone grows paler than the rest.

Is the spool sold singly?

Yes, every spool is sold on its own. With a mixture that pays off especially, since one spool already brings several tones and no collection is needed.
