Separating Zip 100 cm Dark Blue
Item no. 23335
€3.60per piece
Unit price €3.60 / m · incl. VAT, plus shipping
A separating zip in dark blue, 100 cm long, Krampe at 5 mm. Sold singly. The stated length is tooth length without the tape. Measure on your finished pattern piece.
A very dark blue that still reads as blue beside black. For denim and maritime pieces it is the established shade. 100 cm long — pick your length by the pattern piece rather than the paper pattern, since seam allowances and hem change the measurement.
These teeth are 5 mm wide and made of metal. They are visible, audible and belong on jackets allowed to look workshop-ready. Sold singly. Measure the front edge on your finished pattern piece, hem to neckline, and deduct seam allowances — on paper that measurement rarely holds.
What Separating Zip 100 cm Dark Blue is suitable for
Zipped hoodies, because the fastener can run up into the hood.
Covers meant to come off entirely, because both halves separate.
Rain jackets, because a separating fastener frees the whole front.
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
What does separating mean?
At the bottom sits a box with a pin instead of a fixed stop. Pull that pin out and both halves part completely — your piece opens like a jacket and comes right off.
Can I shorten it?
From the top yes: cut it, fold the tape into your seam allowance and set a new stop with a few hand stitches. From the bottom you cannot — that is where the box and pin sit.
How do I align both sides?
Lay both halves level and tack before sewing. Let one shift and your jacket stands apart at the hem — with the fastener closed, that shows at once.
How should I store fasteners?
Flat and closed, ideally sorted by length. Stored folded, the tape keeps that crease, and you see it later along the sewn-in edge.
