Description
Mint 263 is a light, slightly cool green – fresh without being loud. It looks calm in children's clothes as well as in grown-up shirts and sits happily next to warm natural shades or clear blues.
Made of 95 % cotton and 5 % elastane, this jersey feels soft and smooth, with a fine matt knit surface. At 220 g/m² it belongs to the medium-weight jerseys: it stretches across the width, springs back well and drapes softly rather than fluidly. Cut edges curl only slightly, and seams topstitch cleanly.
The 155 cm width leaves room for wider pattern pieces. The fabric is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and washes at 30 °C.

At 220 g/m² Vanessa is a medium-weight jersey and opaque enough for dresses and skirts. With very pale colours it is worth holding the fabric up to the light; Mint 263 is a mid-light shade.
How much does the fabric stretch?
Thanks to 5 % elastane the jersey stretches noticeably across the width and springs back. That is enough for necklines, sleeve cuffs and close-fitting shapes such as leggings.
Should I prewash before cutting?
Yes, a prewash at 30 °C is worthwhile: the jersey has 5 % residual shrinkage. That way your finished garment keeps the size you planned after its first wash.
How do I care for this fabric?
Wash at 30 °C, do not bleach and do not tumble dry. Iron on a low setting, meaning one dot. The fabric is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
