About this range

The invisible zip is the quiet one, and it belongs anywhere the seam should stay undisturbed: dress, skirt, blouse, cushion cover with a smooth back.

Sewing it in calls for an invisible zip foot. It rolls the coil upright so the needle stitches right beside it – only then does the tape vanish. Every length here is closed at the bottom, so closed end.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need a special foot?

Because the stitching has to run so close to the coil that it hides the tape. The special foot has a groove that lifts and guides the coil. An ordinary zip foot leaves a visible gap.

Which length should I choose?

About 2 to 3 cm more than the opening in your pattern – invisible zips are shortened at the top and should not be tight.
