Description
Azure Blue sits in the blue range and reads deep or fresh depending on the fabric — the surroundings decide. 8 m per skein, split across 6 strands. Two strands stitch fine work, all 6 cover solidly. A blunt embroidery needle finds the holes rather than the threads on counted fabric.
Repairs on knitwear are possible with it too, as long as the tone matches. A skein lets you draw off the thread end without tangling the rest — provided you do not pull the wrong end. Part-used skeins are best kept in your box with their band.

- Den Strang nicht auseinanderziehen, sondern das Fadenende vorsichtig herausziehen.

- Fadenlänge etwa 40 bis 50 Zentimeter — längere Fäden verdrehen sich und fransen.
- Eine Sticknadel mit stumpfer Spitze nimmt bei Zählstoffen die Löcher statt der Fäden.
- Vor dem Waschen des fertigen Stücks eine Farbprobe machen, besonders bei kräftigen Rottönen.

How do I divide the thread?
Pull the number of strands you want out of the skein one at a time, then lay them side by side again. Pull several at once and you get knots instead of strands — the commonest beginner's mistake.
May I wash the embroidery?
Yes, this cotton is colourfast. With strong reds and blues a test on a scrap still pays off before the finished piece goes into a machine for the first time.
How do I iron an embroidered piece?
Lay it face down on a soft cloth and iron from the reverse at moderate heat. The embroidery then keeps its relief rather than being flattened, which matters most with satin stitch.
Does this thread suit children?
Yes, for learning to stitch cotton is the easiest pick: it does not slip, it is easy to hold and it forgives uneven stitches more readily than a smooth machine thread.
